Privacy Policy
Sovereign is a political simulation game published by Ahmed Hussein ("we," "us"). This policy describes what the app and its backend collect, why, and how to have it deleted. It applies to the iOS app and its supporting server.
01 What we collect
When you sign in with your Apple ID, we create an account tied to Apple's anonymous identifier for you. Apple may share your email with us — or a private relay address, if you chose to hide it — and the name you make available to the app.

We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, health data, payment details, or browsing history — the app never asks for any of those permissions. Nothing in Sovereign is used to track you across other apps or websites, and we don't use advertising.
02 Who processes it
- Apple — Sign in with Apple, App Store, Game Center, iCloud sync of your achievements and career record between your own devices.
- Google (Gemini API) — generates the game's dynamic scenarios. It receives your in-game state (role, country, decisions, stats) needed to write the next scenario, not your name, email, or account identifier.
- Sentry — crash and error monitoring for the app and server.
- PostHog (EU-hosted) — product analytics on how the game is played.
- Railway — hosts our server and database.
None of these partners are permitted to use your data for their own advertising, and we don't sell or rent your data to anyone.
03 How long we keep it
We keep your account and gameplay data for as long as your account exists. Diagnostic and analytics events are retained for up to 12 months, then aged out.
04 Accessing and exporting your data
Wherever you are, you can get a complete copy of everything tied to your account at any time — this isn't limited to a particular region's laws, it's just available to everyone. In the app, go to Settings → Export My Data. It generates one file with your account details, every saved game, every decision, and your leaderboard and daily challenge history, which you can then save or share however you like.
There's no waiting period and no need to email us — the export is generated on demand, directly from the same data your account actually holds.
05 Deleting your account
You can delete your account and everything tied to it — saves, decisions, career history, and analytics — at any time, for any reason, directly in the app.
Open Settings → Delete Account from the main menu and confirm — it's immediate and permanent, no waiting period. If you can't access the app, email ahmedhussein2310@gmail.com with your in-game username and we'll delete it manually within 30 days.
Deletion is permanent. Retired leaders in your Hall of Leaders, your position on the leaderboard, and your achievement history cannot be recovered afterward.
If you connect Game Center, one thing is outside our control: Apple doesn't provide any app with a way to remove a previously submitted Game Center leaderboard score — that record is Apple's own, tied to your Game Center identity, not to your Sovereign account. Deleting your account resets your Game Center achievements, but a past leaderboard score stays on Apple's leaderboard.
06 Children
Sovereign is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll delete it.
07 Security
Data in transit between the app and our server is encrypted (HTTPS). Access to the production database is restricted to the developer. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute protection against every possible breach.
08 Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Sovereign after a change means you accept the update.
